Jobsite before riser extensions install. The access ports over the trash and aeration/clarification chambers were about 18 inches below the surface. This Aquaklear system was past due for a pumping with a a severe backup in the clarification chamber causing slow toilet flushes, etc. Without surface access, there was no way to tell what the problem was, without digging them up. After riser installation. With the risers installed over all the 4 chambers, the system can now be properly monitored and no more torn up yard for the homeowner or additional digging charges. Hi folks. When you have a septic or aerobic system installed, make sure you have the installation contractor install to-the-surface risers on all the tanks and/or compartments. I went out to pump and clean an Aquaklear system today and neither the aeration chamber nor the trash tank had to-the-surface risers. Two 18"x18" holes had to be dug in the yard. So lets think about this, when an aerobic septic system is installed it comes with a two warranty and monitoring period. So how is the contractor going to monitor your aerobic system, if they cannot visual inspect the indvidual tanks and compartments, particularly the aeration compartment? Without to-the-surface risers on each compartment or tank, an aerobic system cannot be properly monitored. Not only that, but according to the customer, once the contractor collected his final payment, they never heard from him again. So much for a 2 year warranty and inspection period. Folks don't pick an installer because their bid is a few hundred dollars less than their competitors. Believe me, they are short changing you somewhere. i will post some pictures when I install the risers extensions on the Aquaklear tank.
Until next time Bryan Hello, my name is Bryan Russell - owner of KountyWide Liquid Waste dba KountyWide Septic Service, along with my wife Lisa Russell. So how did I get involved in the wastewater service industry. To make a long story short, basically through my experience as a CPA working on the tax and financial side of these types of companies. My plan is to use this blog to share some of the daily insights and observations, I experience running a wastewater service business. BTW, my personal motto for this business is: We kick the shit out of your septic system! (You probably won't ever find that slogan on my truck:) Until next time Bryan |
