Hi folks. When you have a septic or aerobic system installed, make sure you have the installation contractor install to-the-surface risers on all the tanks and/or compartments. I went out to pump and clean an Aquaklear system today and neither the aeration chamber nor the trash tank had to-the-surface risers. Two 18"x18" holes had to be dug in the yard. So lets think about this, when an aerobic septic system is installed it comes with a two warranty and monitoring period. So how is the contractor going to monitor your aerobic system, if they cannot visual inspect the indvidual tanks and compartments, particularly the aeration compartment? Without to-the-surface risers on each compartment or tank, an aerobic system cannot be properly monitored. Not only that, but according to the customer, once the contractor collected his final payment, they never heard from him again. So much for a 2 year warranty and inspection period. Folks don't pick an installer because their bid is a few hundred dollars less than their competitors. Believe me, they are short changing you somewhere. i will post some pictures when I install the risers extensions on the Aquaklear tank.
